Photography offers a way to not only record my life and times but also capture the essence of people, places, things and events that interest me.

I began capturing light at age 11 when I got my first camera. I started taking photos then and have never stopped. As I was growing up, my father, an amateur photographer, often took color slides or home movies of our family. When I grew interested in photography, he set up a darkroom in our basement and taught me how to develop black-and-white film and make prints. His encouragement and financial support helped spark my passion, and I owe him a debt of gratitude.

Over the years I have done a variety of photography, including commercial, forensic, advertising, public relations, portraits, travel and sports. My work has appeared in alumni publications, annual reports, yearbooks, websites and publications such as the , Detroit News, theDetroit Free Press, the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, , Detroit Metro Times, OnMilwaukee, the Tampa Tribune, MiLB.com (the official website of minor league baseball), the Philadelphia Phillies Magazine, the Palm Beach Post, the Bradenton Herald, Baseball America, Florida Trend Magazine, the Philadelphia Phillies magazine, Forbes, the Michigan Catholic, Bleacher Report, the Lakeland Ledger, the Winter Haven News Chief, the Polk County Democrat, Inside Polk Magazine, the Palatka (Fla.)
